Time

Where has the time gone? I am in Grad school entering week 5 of my first quarter. I'm not the oldest in the dept. which makes me feel a little better. I don't know why it should? Age really isn't that big a deal is it?

I've come up with some more ideas of photo projects. It's a different process then before, it's more like when I first starting taking photos except if I need to attach a theory to everything then there might be a problem.

Theory is a whole new world.

Summer '09 Backyard Series

Halfway through Summer. Grad School starts in about 6 weeks. I am trying to catch up on reading- Art Theory plus. I'm nervous I will be struggling in the beginning- school.

Meanwhile I have been doing a little photo project called "Backyard Series". There is beauty in the smallest places, you just have to open your eyes and see the details around you.

Balloon Project

I am making the final decisions on the project. If you find a balloon with a tag, photograph it and send it (email) to me. Release dates will be announced.

First Post

I have decided to start a blog to document my journey over the next few years. I am a 43 year old woman and photographer starting Grad School in the Fall to get my MFA. My journey might not be unique but it will be special and hopefully a little interesting.

My goal is to share my new photo projects, feelings and thought about the process of going back to school after many, many years away.... as well as all the other things that might happen.
